Our pigs are rotated through small paddocks where they can graze, root and find bugs and worms in addition to their natural non-GMO grain ration. They have access to fresh water constantly and shade or shelter as needed.
We allow them access to each paddock for a short time, and then we move them to a new one. This allows them to briefly but significantly “disturb” the pasture, and the long period of rest that follows allows the pasture and soil to regenerate.
